The new MDU 70 5-way milling machine in operation: technology
at a new design size provides higher precision and surface quality.

New investments in the Scherer & Trier tool shop
The tool shop creates perfect conditions for high production quality, higher production speeds and highest precision. By adding four new machines, Scherer & Trier has brought the machinery in Michelau up-to-date.

A flexible and competent in-house solution provides the essential innovation and cost advantage when manufacturing complex tools. A second advantage, if in-house tooling meets the stringent requirements of external specialists, is they can react faster and more accurately to their own production. In the autumn, the in-house machinery at Scherer & Trier was upgraded at an investment of approximately 2 million euros with the purchase of three new milling machines, one spark erosion machine and one handling robot for the graphite processing center.
